Don’t be a jerk. Don’t sell things ( = commercial use) you haven’t made without permission.

Give credit where credit is due. Say, “Written by X” or “X said” or “Photo by X” and give a link back to the original (I didn’t take many of the photos on this site, so it would be a good idea to ask about those).

If you want to do something with the content on this site ( = derivative works), all you have to do is ask.

Why? Because I’m curious what people would want with my little slice of the internet. As long as you don’t plan to take my content, completely unchanged, and resell it for the millions of dollars I’m sure it’s worth, the answer will probably be yes ;)

The Long Version

All text, screenshots and photographs (JPG images), graphics (PNG images), and downloads on this site are original and copyrighted by their respective authors, with the sole exception of the shades emoticon used in the about page.

Author Information

Text and Graphics. Unless otherwise cited, all text and graphics on this site were created by Paul A Hansen. Raw text and initial designs for site styles were created using Macromedia Dreamweaver. Site graphics were created using CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT.

Photographs. The author of each photograph is cited in the longdesc attribute of its HTML img tag, and is also usually cited in plain text before their use.

Document Downloads. All documents on this site were created by Paul A Hansen using Adobe’s Portable Document Format. To view these documents, you may download Adobe’s Acrobat Reader for free here.

Software Downloads. All programs on this site were created by Paul A Hansen and are provided as examples of my work. These programs are provided as-is with no warranty, express or implied. Academic projects are distributed under the Academic Free License (text). All other projects are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial License (text), unless otherwise indicated. Most of the programs require the .NET framework, which is available from the Mono Project or Microsoft as a free download.
